Jolanta Wawrzycka is professor of English at Radford University. She has lectured at the Joyce Schools in Dublin, Ireland, and Trieste, Italy, and presented at numerous Joyce symposia across Europe, including workshops at the Zurich Joyce Foundation. She served as Trustee of the International James Joyce Foundation. Among her publications are edited/co-edited books, “Re-Translating Joyce for the 21st Century,” “James Joyce’s Silences” and “Reading Joycean Temporalities,” in addition to numerous book chapters and articles on Joyce. She has guest-edited Joyce/translation issues of “James Joyce Quarterly” and “Scientia Traductionis.” Her Polish translation of James Joyce’s poems, “Chamber Music,” has been published as a bilingual edition. She has also translated works by Roman Ingarden, Czesław Miłosz and W. B. Yeats.
