RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia will hold its regularly scheduled meeting July 16, 2019, at New College Institute in Martinsville, Virginia. (A detailed meeting schedule is below.)
On Tuesday, July 16, the Council's committees will meet at 10:00 a.m. The full Council will convene at 1:15 p.m. for its regular meeting. The Council will receive remarks from The Honorable Karen Jackson, interim director of New College Institute, and from Rhonda Hodges, vice president for workforce, economic & community development at Patrick Henry Community College.
Meeting topics include the approval of a new program at The College of William & Mary, actions on a revised transfer-related policy and foster child grant regulations, and updates on the undergraduate outcomes survey, student learning assessment and quality, the Commonwealth research and technology strategic roadmap, enrollment projections and degree estimates, institutional performance standards and a financial aid reform study. In addition, the meeting will include reports on the state of higher education funding data, the strategic finance plan and a discussion of SCHEV’s budget and policy development items for the 2020-2022 biennium
