Fast Facts

In 2024, SCHEV issued a Data Collection grant to assist public four-year institutions in building internship and WBL data intelligence. Twelve institutions were awarded funding and developed sustainable tracking tools, including platforms such as 12Twenty and Handshake. Through these efforts, more than 16,000 students were identified as completing internships, including over 5,000 who secured paid opportunities at an average hourly wage of $17.90.

This second phase focuses on scaling institutional data capacity to support statewide goals of ensuring every undergraduate student participates in a high-quality work-based learning experience.
