Fast Facts

In 2024, SCHEV issued a Student Internship Support grant to help public four-year institutions reduce barriers limiting student access to internships. Twelve public institutions were awarded funding, supporting 659 students through transportation assistance, professional attire, housing stipends, and required materials. Building on that progress, this second phase extends equitable access across all forms of work-based learning, including internships, micro-internships, project-based experiences, practicums, and other applied learning opportunities, with particular emphasis on experiences connected to high-demand occupations.

This grant advances institutional and statewide goals to ensure every undergraduate student completes a work-based learning experience before graduation.
