Virginia has once again earned a spot in the nation for customized workforce training, according to the 2026 Business Facilities Annual Rankings Report.

Gov. Abigail Spanberger announced Tuesday that the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program was ranked No. 1 in the country for the fourth consecutive year. The program was recognized for helping new and expanding businesses recruit and train employees through customized workforce development.

Business Facilities, a national publication focused on economic development, also ranked Virginia among the top five states for overall business climate, according to a release from Spanberger’s office.

The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program was created in 2019 by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership in partnership with the Virginia Community College System. The program provides recruitment and training services tailored to each participating company’s operations, equipment, standards and workplace culture, according to the release. Services are offered at no cost to qualified new and expanding businesses as an incentive for job creation," reports WHSV.
