RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold its regularly scheduled meeting March 16-17 at Norfolk State University.
The Committee of the Whole will meet on March 16 at 2:00 p.m. Topics include action on degree program productivity policy. In addition, Council will receive updates on the 2026 legislative session and the Workforce Credential Grant program.
The full Council will resume meeting on March 17 at 9:00 a.m. Javaune Adams-Gaston, president of Norfolk State University, and Dr. Jeffery Smith, Virginia’s Secretary of Education, will present remarks. Council will converse with the Student Affairs Committee on critical issues impacting students. In addition, Council will discuss potential priority initiatives in support of the statewide strategic plan and receive an update from the Council workgroup on institutional performance standards and costs.
