ADVISORY: Council to meet October 30 in Richmond

RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold its regularly scheduled meeting October 30 at its James Monroe Building office in Richmond.

An education session will be held at 9:30 a.m. for the recently released Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission study on the Community College System.

The full Council will meet at 10:30 a.m. James Schmidt, president of James Madison University, will present remarks. Topics include action on a proposal to improve the Transfer Grant Program and a proposed program at a public institution. Council will receive updates on academic program return on investment, revised enrollment projections, Pell Initiative for Virginia and Finance Policy and Innovation issues. Council will discuss the draft statewide strategic plan for higher education.
