"A leadership shake-up is underway at Mary Baldwin University as its president, Jeff Stein, resigned Tuesday, and MBU’s Board of Trustees has already confirmed a new leader to take on the role.
In a letter to the Mary Baldwin community Wednesday, the MBU Board of Trustees’ co-chairs, Eloise Chandler and Constance Dierickx, confirmed Stein notified the board of his resignation on Tuesday, which the board accepted. The news comes days after MBU started its fall 2025 semester on Monday.
Effective immediately, the Board of Trustees confirmed Dr. Todd Telemeco as MBU’s 11th president.
Telemeco has served as the vice president and dean of MBU’s Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences since July 2023, according to the community letter. Telemeco is also a licensed physical therapist and has had experience at the university as an adviser to other MBU leaders, expanding the School of Nursing and more,"
