ADVISORY: Council to meet July 15 in Charlottesville

RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold its regularly scheduled meeting July 15 at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville.

An education session on work-based learning is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Council committees -- Academic Affairs; Resources and Planning -- will meet at 11:15 a.m. Topics include discussions on modifications to SCHEV’s program productivity policy; SCHEV responsibilities related to Virginia workforce needs; preparation for 2025 General Assembly session; and institutional performance standards data and review of full cost calculations. In addition, Council will receive updates on enrollment projections.

The full Council will convene for its regular meeting at 1:00 p.m. Dr. Jean Runyon, president of Piedmont Virginia Community College, will present remarks. Topics include discussions on draft goals of the Statewide Strategic Plan for Virginia Higher Education and the 2026 Council meeting schedule.
