RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold its regularly scheduled meeting July 23 at its James Monroe Building office in Richmond.
Council committees -- Academic Affairs; Resources and Planning -- will meet at 10 a.m. in SCHEV’s office. Topics include action on a proposed organizational change at a public institution. In addition, Council will discuss preliminary results of a high school senior survey and Academic Affairs Committee responsibilities. Council will receive updates on institutional performance standards and FAFSA completion and college access activities.
The full Council will convene for its regular meeting at 12:05 p.m. John Capps, president of Central Virginia Community College, will present remarks. Council meeting topics include updates on VMSDEP, Day of Dialogue event and SB 21 (Policies for Establishing Eligibility for Accommodations). In addition, Council will discuss their 2025 schedule and meeting locations and preparations for the 2025 General Assembly session.
