Working a full time job and/or having a family and social life can be demanding. In addition to the special programs and offerings mentioned above, there are many ways students can take classes and eliminate the added inconvenience and demands that travel and classroom time present.- What is Distance Learning?
Education in which students take academic courses by accessing information and communicating with the instructor over a computer network. - What are some common formats for Distance Learning:

There are some advantages and disadvantages to taking distance education courses. Distance Education can provide an opportunity for you take a course independently working around your own schedule at your own pace. However, it requires more self-discipline and planning with possibly less instructional support. It is important that you consider these factors according to your own needs and abilities. It is a good idea to consult with your advisor and the course instructor before enrolling in any distance education course or program.
