Current Advisories:
On July 16, 2013, the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) revoked the University of Northern Virginia’s Certificate to Operate pursuant to 8 VAC 40-31-180 (B)(2)(c). According to council’s action, the University of Northern Virginia must cease operations immediately as a postsecondary institution in the Commonwealth of Virginia. SCHEV provides the following advisory and letter for students and will provide updates to this notice as information becomes available.
Please note SCHEV has no purview over the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certified status of institutions, please contact the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at www.dhs.gov for assistance.
