Middle School Students: Why Go To College?
It is never too early to start preparing for "the real world." Even if you do not yet know what you want to do, you should start preparing now to go to college because some employers may use college degrees as a criterion when looking at potential employees. They recognize that higher levels of education may indicate higher ability, so having a college degree may give you a much-needed edge in the job market.
Research also indicates that higher education can add significantly to the subsequent earnings of some students, although other factors must be considered, such as natural ability and the program of study pursued. A college degree can make a difference in how you manage your money and career, as well as your increase your knowledge of other cultures and help you develop important analytical skills.
