Private Colleges Regulated by SCHEV
Invited to Best Practices Summit

RICHMONDIn its role as regulator of a number of Virginia’s private postsecondary institutions, the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will host a conference for colleges and universities in the regulated sector on Thursday, March 29 in Richmond. The day-long summit will help personnel at private institutions learn best practices in compliance and models for helping students succeed.

SCHEV’s Private and Out-of-State Postsecondary Education (POPE) section will host several speakers covering topics of interest for educators and administrators at private SCHEV-regulated institutions, including:

Thursday, March 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sheraton Richmond South
9901 Midlothian Turnpike
Richmond, Virginia 23235

SCHEV hopes to help educators and administrators at regulated Virginia institutions better serve Commonwealth students by providing professional development and networking opportunities. Summit attendees will learn how to create a culture of compliance with state regulations, as well as best practices to ensure students receive the quality education they have come to expect from Commonwealth institutions. A full agenda can be found on the SCHEV website at

All members of the media, including photographers, are invited to attend.
