Finance Policy Director

 

Dan Hix

Dan Hix began his career at SCHEV in March of 1979 as a research specialist in the Finance and Facilities section. He has held a variety of positions at SCHEV since that time and was appointed as the agency’s Finance Policy Director effective August 30, 2004.

Mr. Hix has more than 30 years experience in higher education finance, with a focus on higher education budget issues. Mr. Hix serves as the agency's liaison to the Chief Financial Officers at the public colleges and universities, as well as liaison to the Council's TJ21 Implementation Task Force.

Mr. Hix graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. degree in Sociology then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University where he earned his Master’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in research methods and statistics.
