Human Resources


SCHEV’s Human Resources department is a business partner, working with and for the agency to provide quality service in all personnel operations with integrity, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the employees of SCHEV and its stakeholders.


The Human Resources department is a resource for SCHEV which acts as a strategic partner in maximizing the value of human capital and aligning it with agency initiatives, values, and strategies known for promoting a work environment characterized by fair treatment of staff, open communication, personal accountability, trust, and mutual respect.

Strategic Direction

Promote and encourage recruitment strategies that employ a high performing and diverse workforce.

Develop retention strategies that enhance staff understanding and appreciation of important agency goals.

Respond to the needs of employees and potential candidates by promoting professional development strategies with the use of on the job training, external training, and utilizing vacancies as an opportunity to train and develop current staff.

Equitably and fairly administer state and federal policies, procedures, and benefits.
