Council to meet October 30-31: Topics to include funding recommendations, students with disabilities

For immediate release

 — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia will hold its regularly scheduled meeting October 30-31 at the SCHEV agency offices in Richmond. 
Council will meet October 30 for an informational session at 1 p.m.; the Academic Affairs and Resources and Planning committees will meet the same day at 2:30 p.m. Scheduled topics include discussion of a data and policy agenda for the Commonwealth; an update on the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, or ACICS; and a briefing on access to postsecondary education for students with disabilities in Virginia. 

The Council will convene for its regular meeting at 9 a.m. October 31, at the same location. Scheduled meeting topics include budget recommendations for the Commonwealth's postsecondary system. W. Taylor Reveley IV, president of Longwood University, and Larry J. Sabato, director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, separately will present remarks.
