Advisory: Council Meets With Public College and University Leaders

RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia will hold its regular meeting, as well as its annual joint meeting with leaders of the Commonwealth’s public colleges and universities, September 19-20 at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. 

On Monday, September 19, Council members will join the Council of Presidents for the councils’ annual meeting. Among other topics, the agenda includes a discussion of budget conditions and potential General Assembly priorities. 

On Tuesday, September 20, SCHEV Council members will hold a regular business meeting, featuring remarks by VCU President Michael Rao and Barry DuVal, president of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. Council will review and take action on a number of items including a contingency plan for continued authorization of institutions currently accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, or ACICS.
