H-SC presidential search down to the final three

HAMPDEN SYDNEY — The search for Hampden-Sydney College’s 25th president of has been narrowed down to three candidates.

According to Board of Trustees Chairman M. Peebles Harrison, the search team will meet within the next 30 days to interview the finalists.

The college is scheduled to announce the new president of the college no later than March 15, Harrison said. 

He said two of the three finalists would not be in the search unless they were assured complete confidentiality throughout the process.

Dr. Dennis Stevens is serving as interim president. Dr. Chris Howard, the college’s former president, was elected president of Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania in September.
