The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia will hold its regularly scheduled meeting May 15-16 in Danville.
On Monday, May 15, the Council's committees will meet at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, followed by a tour of the institute. The Private College Advisory Board will meet separately that afternoon. A detailed meeting schedule is below.
The full Council will convene at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, at Averett University's North Campus for its regular meeting. Averett University President Tiffany McKillip Franks will offer an overview of issues and opportunities for Averett. Meeting topics include program actions and modifications at a number of Virginia public institutions, and The Virginia Plan for Higher Education, the state's strategic plan.
The Ad Hoc Committee on Research will meet at Averett at 8 a.m. the same day.
