Agenda Books and Minutes

Draft minutes of the Council's meetings will be posted within 10 working days after the meeting. Within three working days after the Council formally approves the minutes, the draft minutes will be replaced with the final approved minutes. If you have any questions regarding minutes from SCHEV meetings, please contact Lee Ann Rung, Director, Executive and Board Affairs, by telephone at (804) 225-2602 or by e-mail at LeeAnnRung@schev.edu.

The Academic Affairs/Quality Committee is charged with overseeing the work of SCHEV staff on all matters of academic concern. Its activities include the statutorily authorized approval of new academic programs and instructional sites at public higher education institutions; the certification of new and out-of-state postsecondary institutions; and the implementation of state policies on a broad range of topics such as assessment, transfer, reinstatement of students called for military duty, and strategic planning. The Committee also receives updates and reports on special initiatives and grant-funded programs (GEAR UP, NCLB, College Access Challenge Grant) administered by SCHEV staff.

Members of the Academic Affairs Committee: Gene Lockhart (Chair), Carlyle Ramsey (Vice Chair), Martin Briley, Heywood Fralin, William Murray, and Katharine Webb.

Thank you for helping us reduce costs by printing your own copy of the agenda book prior to Council meetings.
