Kathleen Kincheloe Named SCHEV’s Assistant Director of Communications

RICHMOND —Daniel LaVista, Executive Director of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) today announced that Kathleen Kincheloe joined SCHEV staff as the Assistant Director of Communications on June 27.

"Kathleen has a wealth of knowledge in the public relations, marketing and communications arenas, making her an ideal fit for the agency."

Mrs. Kincheloe is responsible for researching and preparing agency materials in support of SCHEV’s mission, including articles, briefings, presentations, speeches, brochures, and talking points. She also develops and maintains the agency’s website, and assists in managing constituent affairs.

Mrs. Kincheloe’s prior professional experience includes serving as the Marketing and Communications Specialist for Cramblitt and Company. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the College of Charleston and a Masters in Education in Education Policy, Planning and Leadership from the College of William and Mary.

SCHEV is the Commonwealth’s coordinating body for Virginia’s system of higher education. The agency provides policy guidance and budget recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly, and is a resource for information on Virginia colleges and universities on higher education issues.
