SCHEV Announces Agenda for December 14 Meeting
—Council approves over $510 million in operating recommendations and $891 million in capital recommendations —
RICHMOND —The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Council’s Ninth Floor Main Conference Room of the James Monroe Building in Richmond, Virginia.
During the meeting, the Council will take action on a resolution affirming its FY 06-08 base budget adequacy recommendation for the Commonwealth’s system of higher education. In addition, the Council will receive a briefing related to legislative items relevant to the upcoming General Assembly session, scheduled to convene on January 11, 2006.
SCHEV is the Commonwealth’s coordinating body for Virginia’s system of higher education. The agency provides policy guidance and budget recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly, and is a resource for information on Virginia colleges and universities on higher education issues.
