Teletechnet-A Case Study in the Benefits and Costs of an Intercampus Instructional Television Network (Jewett)
A Report Directed by Frank Jewett
California State University

This April 1998 report is one of a series from a project entitled Case Studies in Evaluating the Benefits and Costs of Mediated Instruction and Distributed Learning. The project is jointly sponsored by the California State University, the National Learning Infrastructure Initiative of EDUCOM, and the State Higher Education Executive Officers. The report provides a good overview of the origin and nature of Old Dominion University's well-known Teletechnet program. It provides various analyses that essentially show that there is little difference in performance and post studies capabilities between students who received an on-campus educational experience and those who got their degrees through the Teletechnet program.
