The Hidden Legal Traps in Distance-Learning Programs
By Sheldon Elliot Steinbach and Anthony V. Lupo
The Chronicle of Higher Education
This article discusses two areas of legal concern for those institutions that provide distance
learning programs:

to offer a program; and
- Obtaining the rights to use intellectual property involved in a distance learning program
and protecting that material from misuse.
This is a good summary of the state of the art of these two very important issue areas.
